last night was terrible. there was the worst thunder storm that i have seen in a long time. it seemed to last all night long. we both slept awful. i almost crapped my pants when the lightning crashed in what seemed to be our front yard. i screamed like a little girl! billy picked on me, of course. i wished we were up on the river to see it though. it would have made some awesome pictures. luckily i started my day today with a relaxing massage! that helped calm my nerves.
besides the feeling that the house was going to implode around us last night, it was also 100 degrees in our room. not that i am complaining at all, i am excited for the summer weather. but given the fact that billy has a built-in sweater already, he was extremely uncomfortable. so right now he is hooking up the air conditioner! yoo hoo! although i am a little distraught because it seems like we just got done paying our heat bill. but since the sweat is dripping off of billy's face as i type this i really do not think he minds.
tomorrow i have a bridal shower for a girl i work with, it is for her son and fiance. i made no-bake (thank god i didn't have to turn on the oven) key lime cream cakes. they were super easy and sooooo good. they are cupcake size so they will be easy to serve. and i even lightened them up to make them weight watchers friendly (i am venturing down that road once again, this time hopefully with success)
billy has to fly to atlanta tomorrow until wednesday. yuck. hopefully there will be no more storms while he is gone. i don't know if i will survive!!
