if i could start again, a million miles away.......

well i guess my luck has run out for now. the car giveaway was yesterday. out of the 47 people only 33 showed up! great odds. i was number 23 in line. i got in the car, popped in the cd and heard the dreaded "sorry". then the 25 person won it!!! i was sooooooooo close. oh well. it was fun. billy was enjoying himself too. and i did get my oil changed while we waited since Nissan is right next store. so at least we were productive. George would be proud!!!

my night at the clipper was fun. they catered a wedding at the boat museum, so Michael was there for the night. it was just me, Sarah, Melinda and Tiffany on the line, along with Matt. poor Matt. he was definitely out numbered by all of the females on the line. but i don't think he really minded. it was nice that mike wanted me to be there to fill in while he is not around. it shows how appreciated me presence there is. plus i didn't have to do the fryer station, the new girl did. so i didn't have grease up to my forehead when i got done last night!! always a plus.

after work i had some fun with the girls, Trisha, Stacy and Nicky. Amber showed up too. it was really fun and felt like old times. those are few and far between. i stayed at the "Sullivan hotel" aka aunt Mitzi"s house. we had a nice chat early this morning as we ate our clipper food, which was just like old times too! i love staying at her house. it is strangely familiar, as i used to live there as a child. i even sleep in my old room. i still can picture it exactly as it was. it had purple flowered wallpaper, that mom picked out. it was really pretty, for wallpaper even. and at the foot of my bed was where my barbies were. and in the corner was Danny's crib. and i had a stereo too. i used to dance and sing when i was 5 years old. and every night when i went to bed i would surround myself with the 20 stuffed animals i had. as if they would keep me safe. that is probably why today i need a hundred pillows!! the bed that is in there now is in the same spot as my old one so it is as if i have the same view as i had when i was 5. it sounds weird and maybe corny, but i just remember things like that.
before i drove home today i stopped at Billy's mom's house. i had to pick up some pieces to a cabinet we bought. pat and dick helped me get everything into my xterra. then i was off to uncle bobby's to pick up a chair. the chair belonged to ruthie phillips and was later given to grandpa. now i have it and it has a double sentimental value to me, since it was ruth's (who was like a grandmother to us) and since grandpa also used it. now i think billy is beginning to enjoy it also!
