But now I know that rose trees never grow in new york city

continuing my day of yard work.....

i went to home depot and wally world and got a variety of flowers and some soil. i just started in one corner of our yard, by the front door. i also planted the sunflower seeds there, so hopefully after these flowers are gone the sunflowers will bloom in their place. its not 317 webb st but its a start!!

i also potted some Gerber daisies. they are one of my favorites. i was inspired by bogie's. they look so cool. and pay no attention to those stupid helicopter things that fall from the trees. if we had a penny for everyone in our yard we would be rich. billy sweeps them up almost every week but more fall and fall. my car is constantly covered in them. it really sucks.

and alas, this is me after the big gardening adventure!! i definitely had the "hunt" sweats going on!!! so on to my second shower of the day.................

this mystery bush was in our front yard. when i left for clayton on saturday there was nothing. when i got home it was in full bloom. it is some kind of rose bush. i am not sure what kind but i will do some research. we have so many random things in our front yard. there were two tulips in the spring. and we also have sage growing. i guess the guy before us was really protective of his herbs, hence the reason for that ugly fence. but he has everything so random that the yard looks crappy. so my plan today is to go to home depot and get some stuff. i also have some sunflower seeds to plant thanks to bogie.
