i have swam against the current
and have effortlessly just floated on by
i have been slammed on the shoals
and have maneuvered around the rocks
i have skated across the water
and have drowned in the depths
i have stood on the shoreline
and have crossed the bridges that bind
i have battled the storms
and have bathed in the sun
this river runs deep
