i still had some of mom's squash left and there was a recipe for butternut squash and sage lasagna in Martha Stewart (don't laugh). and i had a bunch of sage still in my yard. so i decided to make it. and my friend sue, the hygienist with the broken leg, is a vegetarian so i thought i would take some to her too. it came out really nice. it was super rich though. but i was proud that i actually used a recipe from Martha Stewart. i have been getting the magazine for over a year now and not once made anything.
i spent today swiffering every inch of the house. i made this place shine like the top of the Chrysler building. i was so energized from it i even did the elliptical.
Billy spent the day staining his table project. it looks brand new compared to when he found it. i wish i had taken pictures of it before. there was a crappy veneer-like top on it that was falling apart. so he chiseled the stuff off, sanded it with his new sander, washed it off with "mineral spirits" (he found this on google), and now is staining it. this has been a process of a week. it is like his baby. now he wants to sand the spare bedroom floor and refinish it. the previous owners got purple paint all over it. he said it will be his winter project....yikes....pretty soon he will be sanding everything and anything. "look it honey, look how smooth that b%#ch is". we will be buried under a pile of soap AND sawdust this winter....
i ordered my halloween costume this week too. my friend julie and i are going to be the same thing, or twins i should say. i cant wait to get it!! it is pretty funny...
